Imaan Jalali – Arts & Culture Editor
Imaan Jalali is the Arts & Entertainment Editor of LAexcites. Since 2015, Imaan has written about some of the most interesting individuals, restaurants, places, and shows on the West Coast and beyond. Moreover, he has other extensive writing credits, having covered the NBA, boxing, tennis, and WWE for Bleacher Report and other outlets. Last but not least, education — and the pursuit of knowledge — is very important to him; he received his B.A. in Political Science from Cal State Northridge and his Masters in Entertainment Management from USC. He currently resides in Ventura County and looks forward to previewing and reviewing many events for years to come.
Alia Jalali – Social Media Manager
Alia Jalali is the social media manager for LAexcites. Since its inception, Alia has not only been an ardent supporter of the online magazine, she’s often contributed brilliant ideas that have invariably benefited the domain. Stories and posts shared on LAexcites socials are done by Alia who ensures that our articles are disseminated far and wide to both the artists being represented and the hordes of audiences who might be interested in the events we cover. Alia holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pepperdine University — Go Waves! Last but certainly not least, Alia has been married to Arts & Culture Editor Imaan Jalali since November 2025, and the two can often be found arm in arm enjoying various adventures, on any given day or night, in the region.
Johnny Jalali – Founder and Music Editor
Born in Hollywood and raised in Los Angeles, California, Johnny started the first live-video talk show at UCLA (and simulcast on UCLA Radio), all the while receiving his Bachelor’s in Psychology. Now, as a graduate student, he continues to oversee the creative direction of LAexcites and reviews concerts across LA.
